Me and the Mrs love RodSap this is our go to thai restaurant around here. Let's start off with the ambiance. The location is right off North Texas street near JJ's so you already know it's not the nicest part of town but what else is new about Fairfield? The restaurant itself once you step inside is very nice and clean. It is on the darker side but the decor is nice and inviting, a complete transformation compared to what's outside. The service is good. The server is always kind and attentive. The owners and staff are always happy to help you with any questions or concerns you may have. I have seen plenty of times where I have dined in and some guests are new to trying thai/Lao good and they have loads of questions and I see the staff happily answer all of them. Now to the most important part the food. If the food is bad the the rest won't matter. Let me tell you of all the thai places I have tried this definitely tops their competition by far. Their dishes are well seasoned and I have never had 1 bland dish or underseasoned dish from here ever. Other Thai restaurants around here feels bland,underseasoned, sad to say but cooked with no love. This place always hits the spot and when you order spicy they mean business nothing. A true spicy level whatever you requested,other places around here usually hold back even if you ask for very spicy. Overall love this place and more importantly your taste buds will thank you once your done eating here.

Love that this place has both Thai and Lao food. Came here for lunch and ordered the pad thai, kao poon, lao papaya salad, and of course thai tea. The portions were good in size and very flavorful. I've never had papaya salad before, went with the lao style and loved it. My bf has had the thai version and now likes the lao version better. Loved their thai tea and it's cheaper than other restaurants. Definitely want to come back to try more food on their menu.

Excellent southeastern Asian food with efficient service and decent prices. One of the best restaurants in the area, just be careful stepping over that homeless guy sleeping by the front door.

I would like to start off that the customer service is very good. Second it is very spacious and pretty clean. Third the food is good but it can use a little more flavor for the papaya salad and the tofu in my own opinion only maybe others may have their own preferences. But overall everything else tasted pretty good.

Came in on a rainy Saturday Afternoon. The food was very flavorful and the staff was very attentive. I'll be back here again whenever I'm in town to try some other dishes.

I've been ordering to go very often. Their quality doesn't ever disappoint. I've tried quite a few items from the menu and all of them have been great. Of course I have my favorites like the kapoon (Thai spicy) and Lao sausage but everything else is delicious as well. I love that they are so consistent with their quality, flavors, and spice levels. Definitely top tier

RodSap has a special place in my memory thanks to them never changing the flavors of their dishes. Everything tastes as good as I remembered it way back when this place opened - even when it was S&L Thai. Their service has always been friendly, kind, and welcoming. From the outside, it wouldn't be what you'd imagine on the inside but it features a nice sized dinning room and a TV upon walking in. My favorite dishes by far is the citrus chicken. I absolutely love the breading and the sauce that it comes with. The chicken is never too dry and I even enjoy the greens that it comes with. The pad Thai has the perfect amount of sauce. I can always count on it to be the same every time I order it.

Our first visit after the new ownership. The previous restaurant was horrible due to the food the previous owners served. The previous "Lao/Thai" food was worse than my homemade version of it. In any event, moving forward; we were surprised and pleased with the foods today with the exception of the BBQ Pork. #2: Spicy Chicken Wings: The price was an eye opener, but well worth it. The crispyness and flavor were spot on. #15: BBQ Pork: The "sauce" put on top of the pork was a surprise, and it didn't really go well with the meat. If we do order it again, we would like the sauce on the side. #16: Crying Tiger: The beef was a little chewy, but it was as good as expected. The sauce accommodated perfectly with the meat. Only note to the owners, please ask how the customer wants the beef cook. #19: Tofu Drunken Noodles: The noodles were not too soft, and it was also nicely seasoned. The Tofu was firm and nicely accommodated the noodles. #51: Kao Poon: Very flavorful, also nicely seasoned. We liked it, but we would probably not order again. We had worse Kao Poon and this bowl was not bad. However, we were surprised that they didn't have Kao Soy. We would definitely come back to try other dishes. We believe these current owners are legit & authentic cooks.

Excellent local Thai restaurant. Very cute interior. The service was friendly and attentive. We had the mini garlic ribs and the Pad See Ew. Both were good however the Mini Garlic ribs are a MUST. So juice on the outside with a slight crispy exterior. And the sauce is delicious.

After a long day at the Tomato Festival, we decided to stop by here for dinner in the early evening. The restaurant was pleasantly quiet, likely because most of the action was happening downtown. It's not often we come across Lao restaurants where we live, so finding one here in Fairfield was a treat. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. My partner said, "this is the best Crying Tiger I've ever had," and the sauce that came with it was incredible. The steak was fresh, tender, and the portion size was just right. I opted for the Lao Sausage and Thai Papaya Salad--both dishes were bursting with flavor and complemented each other perfectly. The iced coffee was spot on--refreshing and not overly sweet. I'd definitely order it again. Looking forward to coming back whenever I'm in the area!
